Are you allowed to stand around like this while on duty at your job? They are in Houston.
All passengers on the 50 seat plane had their flight plans for this flight cancelled and were accommodated on future flights and given a voucher by Delta for a free flight for the inconvenience. 35 people associated with Florida’s Basketball team then boarded the flight.
Presumably the Gators paid Delta quite a handsome sum to transport them instead of the ticketed passengers. At a platitudal level, this kind of arrogance is commiserate with the Florida Gators culture as a whole and indicative of a great majority of the population of Gator graduates and enthusiasts. It doesn’t surprise me they had no moral qualms of affecting the plans of these passengers (on one of the busiest travel days of the year) so they could get to their game. They are the Gators after all!
Thank you reader Mark. S. for bringing this to my attention.
PS – Watching the Florida Gators Teamates block one another during their loss to Georgia Southern three weeks ago still doesn’t get old.
How many of these do you agree with?
Being on the road so much, I appreciate some of these in particular, like not asking the female bartender for her favorite IPA or not showing the bartender pictures of your kids.
About as exclusive as a community college. US Airways Terminal B Club Lounge. Monday after thanksgiving.
Who am I to complain? I get in for free every time by using my SAS Gold card (which I got by status match from Delta Gold)
If I actually paid US Airways for membership to the tune of $300+ per year I would be a little irritated. I really just come in most of the time for a free USAToday.
